Robert S. Ackerman is a partner in the firm. His practice consists primarily of commercial and business litigation. He has tried numerous cases in Federal and State Court, many before a jury, and has also represented the firm's clients in many arbitrations and meditations.
Commercial and Business Litigation:
With over 40 years of experience, Mr. Ackerman has represented clients in virtually all manner of business cases including breach of contract, fraud, unfair competition, interference with contractual and business relations, defamation, employment termination and other employer-employee disputes, termination of distributors, franchisees and manufacturers and sales representatives, corporate and partnership dissolutions, real estate sales disputes, commercial, industrial and residential landlord-tenant disputes, and easements, rights of way, and other title disputes.
Mr. Ackerman earned a B.A. from UCLA in 1968 and a J.D. from UCLA in 1971. He was a member of the UCLA Law Review and upon graduation was admitted to the Order of the Coif. He is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar and the State Bar of California and is admitted to a number of Federal Courts.
